Dr. David Wandless began his medical career in hospital medicine, specialising in renal medicine and long-term condition management. This foundation underpins his enduring interest in complex chronic disease, particularly diabetes, hypertension, kidney disease, chronic pain, and mental health.
He transitioned into general practice and qualified as a GP in 2022. Alongside clinical work, he is a senior clinical lecturer at the University of Aberdeen, where he leads the Year 4 long-term conditions block and teaches integrated care.
David provides a range of services, including joint injections for painful musculoskeletal conditions and evidence-based management of frailty and chronic pain. His academic contributions include publications in BMJ Open (2017) and Medicine (2025).
Outside of medicine, he also performs stand-up comedy.
