Ms Jo Collins Remedial massage therapist

Jo studied and qualified as a Remedial and Sports Therapist at the London School of Sports Massage five years ago, obtaining a Level 5 diploma in Sports and Remedial Massage. Since qualifying Jo has undertaken extensive continued professional development and is also qualified in Kinesiology Taping, Medical Acupuncture and ScarWork. As well as an inherent skill in massage from a young age, having experienced the benefits of hands-on remedial treatment herself in the recovery from sports injuries and negative postural patterns evolved through general lifestyle, Jo chose to retrain and change career to follow her passion and help others. She applies her skills using a combination of soft tissue techniques, acupuncture and ScarWork tailored to your individual need, to reduce and alleviate pain and discomfort in the body caused through stresses and strains from work, lifestyle or sport, improving mobility and range of motion, to help you get back to good health and fitness. Jo’s work can provide the extra soft tissue treatment often needed, and hands-on time clients desire, when on a physio/osteo/chiro rehab programme. Her ScarWork can help with many issues of discomfort, pain or immobility created from scars and adhesions - from injuries, trauma and burns, and from surgeries related to e.g. childbirth, gynaecology, oncology or orthopaedic.
