Mrs Susana Lara Psychologist (Registrar)

Susana Lara is a Clinical Psychologist and Psychotherapist, trained in Brief Strategic Therapy at the Centro di Terapia Strategica in Arezzo (Italy) under the direct supervision of Professor Giorgio Nardone. She is an official psychotherapist of Centro di Terapia Strategica. She obtained her degree in Psychology from the Autonomous University of Barcelona in 2002, where she later completed a Master’s in Behavioural Medicine and Clinical Psychology. During this time, she completed a two-year placement at the Sleep Disorders Unit of Vall d’Hebron Hospital in Barcelona, actively participating in the diagnosis and treatment of sleep disorders. In 2007, she completed her Master’s in Brief Strategic Therapy and has since focused her clinical work on this therapeutic model. She later completed the residential training programme in Brief Strategic Therapy at the Arezzo centre, further deepening her expertise in this approach. In 2014, she relocated to London, where she currently works as a Clinical Psychologist. Her qualifications have been officially recognised in the UK, and she is registered with the British Psychological Society (BPS) and the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). She has developed her career across both public and private sectors in Spain and the UK. For over two years, she worked as a Clinical Psychologist in a high-dependency psychiatric rehabilitation service in London, supporting individuals with complex conditions such as psychosis, personality disorders, addictions, autism spectrum disorders, and severe trauma. She has also been part of multidisciplinary teams in the areas of neuropsychology and cognitive rehabilitation, contributing to the design and implementation of group intervention programmes. Since 2021, she has been offering online therapy in English, Spanish, and Catalan through her private project, Strategic Minds, supporting people from various countries and backgrounds through brief, effective, and change-oriented therapeutic processes. Susana Lara is a selected psychotherapist affiliated with the Centro di Terapia Strategica in Arezzo, directed by Professor Giorgio Nardone.
