Mr Jeremy Gordon Counsellor

Sentia Well-Being London, City of Westminster, WC2H 0DU

Overview

I am a London-based counsellor, and a Registered Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). I offer a non-judgmental, empathetic and authentic counselling relationship in the Person-Centred tradition, with a focus on adults and young people (6th form and beyond). My practice is built on my personal experience, as well as my professional training. Prior to becoming a counsellor, I spent 30 years as an international business consultant. In that time I worked with major corporates and government departments, ran my own business, and held positions as a company director and a charity trustee. Having faced a number of personal and professional challenges I started seeing a counsellor, and found the experience to be therapeutic and healing. I was inspired to learn more and, eventually, to become a counsellor myself. I now work in private practice in Central and South London, as well as online, via Zoom. In addition to my private client work, I am a Personal and Professional Development (PPD) group facilitator for counsellors in training, and have experience in a counselling agency, as well as in a London sixth-form college. I work with a range of issues including: addiction; anger; anxiety; depression; grief, and stress. I would welcome a chat about whatever it is you would like to explore. I hold a Level 5 Higher Professional Diploma in Counselling and Psychotherapy from Lewisham Counselling and Counsellor Training Associates (LCCTA), and a Certificate of Higher Education in Counselling and Counselling Skills from Birkbeck College, University of London. My continuing professional development training has included certification for: Online and Telephone Counselling; Ethical Counselling in Substance Misuse; and working with young people (16+). At present I mainly use Zoom for online video sessions, but can also make (Covid-adapted) arrangements for in-person sessions - currently at rooms in Soho (Until Soho, W1), West Norwood (SE21) and London Bridge / Borough (SE1). I welcome any questions you may have, and look forward to speaking with you.
