Counsellor

I am a trained psychotherapeutic counsellor, and supervisor, offering short term and long term counselling. Feeling alone, unheard or misunderstood can leave feelings of isolation and uncertainty. I provide a space in which issues can be explored together to move towards a greater acceptance of yourself, gain new perspectives and change unhelpful patterns. I have appointments for individuals and couples and have experience working in the areas of anxiety, depression, trauma, abuse (substance abuse, domestic abuse, child sex abuse). My approach is integrative, which means that I individualise my work with you using several theoretical models to fit your needs. I provide a safe space where we can explore, together, your needs. I work confidentially adhering to UKCP code of ethics. I also work with EAP (Employment Assistance Programmes). Online counselling is limited. Training, qualifications & experience I am a qualified Psychotherapeutic Counsellor holding a BSc (Hons) in Integrative Counselling (Middlesex University) Attended courses on: Self Harm, Bereavement and Loss, Self Awareness, DID (Dissociative Identity Disorder), Domestic Abuse and Psychosomatic Disorders, Survivors of child sex abuse. RCGP Level 1 Substance Misuse Specialist Sexual Assault Training (CARA) ASIST trained (Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training) Accredited member of the Foundation of Infant Loss I have 10 years experience working with domestic abuse, relationship issues, drug and alcohol addiction and survivors of child sex abuse, anxiety and trauma and supported people through many of their problems.
