I am a freelance dietitian based in Solihull in the West Midlands and nutrition has always been a passion of mine. Before being diagnosed with coeliac disease (gluten intolerance) over ten years ago, I experienced numerous IBS type symptoms and severe fatigue for quite some time, which made functioning in everyday life quite difficult.
My experience heightened my awareness of how what you eat, not only improves your health, but can make you feel better overall. My aim is to share my dietetic knowledge with others, so they too can experience health improvement for themselves.
I have gained a wide range of experience working in numerous dietetic roles within the NHS. In the past, I was the lead dietitian for a specialist gastroenterology clinic where I delivered advice on the low FODMAP diet in particular.
I also have a keen interest in the benefits of mindfulness, meditation, gut directed yoga and lifestyle medicine. Therefore, my focus in clinic is very holistic and we also look at how movement, stress management and sleep are vital to health.
In my clinic, we also focus on building a positive relationship with food as this too is paramount to your eating experience.
I am also an expert advisor for the IBS Network.
