Dr Peter Browne Rheumatologist

Consultant Rheumatologist at the Bon Secours Hospital Tralee and Limerick. He studied medicine at University College Cork. Following graduation, he went on to train in musculoskeletal ultrasound and has completed EULAR/EFSUMB accredited Ultrasound training to an advanced level. Dr Browne has a Masters Degree in Sports and Exercise Medicine and is a Fellow of the Faculty of Sports & Exercise Medicine. He has a special interest in the management of inflammatory arthritis, osteoporosis, sports medicine and fibromyalgia. He is a passionate advocate of healthily living (diet, sleep and exercise) as being crucial to avoiding ill health and as an essential component of management of all long term illnesses. Education on coping mechanisms, techniques for preventing disability or regaining function are just as important if not more important than medications.
