Dr Abi Tarran-Jones Psychologist

clinic location

Overview

I am a clinical psychologist with 10+ years experience supporting people with their mental health, wellbeing and psychological needs. I am highly trained in integrating a variety of different psychological models and theories, to offer a therapy that best suits the individual needs of the people I am working with. I specialise in relational and creative modes of therapeutic practice. Specifically, cognitive analytic therapy (CAT) and nature-based therapy, which can take place indoors, outdoors or online. Other therapeutic models that inform my work are grounded in mindfulness, compassion and acceptance based frameworks. Life brings with it inevitable twists, bumps and road blocks. People's early experiences, life events and the ways of coping they developed to survive these, can leave them feeling overwhelmed or stuck. This may lead to feelings of stress, anxiety, panic, depression, low self-esteem, low self-worth and post-traumatic stress and difficulties in daily living, relationships and work. I am passionate about providing people with a safe space to explore and work through the difficulties they are facing. Whilst navigating to a new healthier way of living focused on improving quality of life and overall wellbeing.
