Dan Thompson Physiotherapist

Dan earned his Bachelor’s degree in Physiotherapy from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (RCSI) in 2018. He then spent four years at St. Columcille’s Hospital, completing rotations and advancing to Senior Physiotherapist and Clinical Tutor. During this period, Dan collaborated with sports teams including Bective Rangers, Railway Union, and Old Belvedere Rugby Clubs. In 2023, Dan relocated to Auckland, New Zealand, where he served as a Senior Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist in private practice, followed by a position as Senior Orthopaedic Physiotherapist at North Shore Hospital. He returned to Dublin in 2024. Dan has a special interest in physiotherapy rehabilitation across all age groups, striving to provide evidence-based treatments in a holistic manner to maximize his patients’ potential. In addition to his clinical work, Dan is committed to continuous professional development and learning of the latest advancements in physiotherapy. He is a member of the Irish Society of Chartered Physiotherapists (ISCP) and regularly attends workshops and conferences to enhance his skills and knowledge. Dan’s approach to patient care emphasizes individualized treatment plans tailored to each person’s unique needs and goals. He believes in empowering patients through education and active participation in their rehabilitation journey, ensuring they achieve optimal outcomes and improved quality of life. Outside of his professional life, Dan maintains an active lifestyle and has a keen interest in sports, which enhances his understanding of sports-related injuries and rehabilitation.
