I worked in public hospitals in Italy, promoting various different therapeutic approaches including Psychodynamic, CBT, Humanistic, Behavioural, Integrative approach in order to be able to contrast, compare and critically evaluate a range of models of therapy. This allowed me having a wider insight with regards to the most suitable approach applicable to each situation, taking into account the strengths and weaknesses of each. I worked for around ten years in Spain for the Department of Justice, developing a great understanding of the importance of the spiritual and cultural traditions relevant to Psychology. In a context as multiracial as the prisons of Barcelona, where so many different cultures, traditions, ethnicities, religions, sexuality meet each other, I learned the fundamental importance of using a holistic approach.
In the UK, I worked across a number of NHS Trusts and in the private sector, delivering mainly Integrative approach, CBT, DBT (included ADBT for LD), Schema Therapy and PBS following NICE recommendations.
