I am a registered Osteopath and Sports Massage Therapist based in North London. I originally qualified in Sports Massage (Level 3 ITEC) in 2018 working with the local community and graduated from The University College of Osteopathy (formerly known as The British School of Osteopathy) In 2019 with a Diploma in Osteopathic Sciences & Healthcare as well as an Integrated Master's in Osteopathy. I also hold a foundation in western medical acupuncture which i plan to develop further. My areas of interest are Women's Health and Paediatrics, which i am currently working towards a specialist postgraduate diploma. Aside from these i also take an interest in Pain Management, Sports Injuries and Martial Arts. Using a wide range of manual techniques such as structural mobilisation, manipulation, myofascial and soft tissue work, i aim to encourage patient agency and take a biopsychosocial approach to management. I have experience with working with injuries sustained in sport, and have found that working holistically and assisting the body in it’s own recovery through rest, pain management, massage and gentle weight loading ensures a sound path to recovery. I have also worked with patients ranging from young children to the elderly within specialist clinics linked to the UCO (Expectant Mothers Clinic, Sports clinic, Royal Free Hospital and Blanchard Clinic for patients’ with HIV). The techniques i have learnt can also be applied to less sports specific scenarios such as general muscular pain sustained from every day stress, or longer term tensions derived from posture. Low back pain and other issues are often a combination of these factors and more, which sports massage can help ease by improving blood supply, relieving muscle tension and breaking up any muscle knots which may have developed. My passion for helping people with these skills stems from a long history of using these holistic therapies to aid my own health, which i’ve found gives me a more empathetic perspective into treating people experiencing pain.
